ISOTOPIC COMPOSITION OF RUTHENIUM IN METEORITES (in German)

Journal Article · · Helvetica Physica Acta (Switzerland)
OSTI ID:4751606
The isotopic compositions of Ru in the iron meteorites Tocopilla, Henbury, and Mount Joy were measured by mass spectroscopy. The isotopic ratios obtained were compared with terrestrial standards in an effort to detect any anomalies. Processes that could lead to special anomalies in the isotopic composition of Ru in meteorites are tabulated. The measurement results showed no anomalies. It was concluded that in Ru no special anomalies were to be expected when the meteorite does not originate, at least partially, by element synthetic processes other than those of the earth. (J.S.R.)
