Differential and integral cross sections for bremsstrahlung and pair production at high energies derived to three degrees of approximation are given. Formulas from Born's approximation for a pure Coulomb field are noted to be unreliable, but are used as a starting point for the other two treatments. In the next approximation the screening effect of atomic electrons is taken into account. The third approximation incorporates Coulomb corrections; and, finally, formulas containing both Coulomb and screening corrections are presented. Validity of the formulas is also discussed, and comparative graphs are included. (D.C.W.)
