GAMMA RADIATION EFFECT ON COMBINED ACRYLONITRILE AND ETHYLENE POLYMERIZATION (in Russian)

Journal Article · · Vysokomolekul. Soedin.

Studies were made of radioinduced ethylene and actylonitrile polymerization by Co/sup 60/ in toluene solution at 10 to 45 atm pressure, 30 r/ sec, and 20 deg C temperature. The concentration of ethylene in acrylonitrile-- toluene mixtures was determined by the volume of ethylene saturation in a specially designed device. The tabulated data on ethylene and acrylonitrile concentrations dissolved in toluene at various monomer ratios showed that at acrylonitrile-ethylene ratios 0.5: 0.5, 0.3:0.7, and 0.1:0.9 the monomer concentrations are almost identical.
