EVIDENCE FOR K$sup +$$Yields$$pi$$sup +$ + $pi$$sup -$ + e$sup +$ + $nu$ DECAY MODE

Journal Article · · Phys. Rev. Letters
A K/sup +/-meson decay of particular interest has been found during studies of K/sup +/ endings in 800 mu Ilford G-5 emulsion. The event appears to be an example of a Kl decaying into two particles of pion or muon mass, one electron, and one or more neutral particles. A thorough analysis of the event is presented with a number of possible decay modes considered and rejected. The most likely possibility for the event is K/sup +/ yields pi /sup +/ + pi /sup -/ + e/sup +/ + nu . (H.D.R.)
