Reactions of He/sup +/, Ne/sup +/, Ar/sup +/, Kr/sup +/, and Xe/sup +/ at 10 0 to 30,000 ev with plateiets of graphite, Cu and Au were studied. Yields of secondary positive ions from these reactions and their dependence on the energy of the rare gas ions and on target temperature were determined. (M.C.G.)
