KINETICS OF GAMMA CONDUCTIVITY IN CADMIUM SULFIDE CRYSTALS

The results of an experimental study of the kinetics of gamma conductivity in cadmium suifide crystals at room temperature are outiined. It is shown that the kinetic effects are governed essentially by the state of the impurity centers in the crystal and the gamma intensity. The effect of the intensity and wavelength of light incident on the crystal on the change in the rate and nature of the excitation buildup and decay of nonequilibrium gamma radiation is demonstrated.
