THREE-PARTICLE ASSOCIATED PRODUCTION IN PION-NUCLEON COLLISIONS

The production of YK pi and NKK in pion-nucleon collisions is studied in the single-particle-exchange model. The total cross sections for the reactions and the angular distributions and energy spectra of the recoil hyperons are calculated. The reactions are compared with each other and with the N pi pi production reaction. There is a significant difference between the SIGMA K pi and the DELTA K pi reactions if the SIGMA DELTA parity is odd. (auth)
