GERMANIUM-RUTHENIUM ALLOYS (in German)

Germanium -ruthenium alloys were examined by means of microscopy, radiography, and partly thermal analysis. In the system a B20 phase at the composition GeRu and a tetragonal phase of the composition Ge/sub 3/Ru/sub 2/ being isotopic with Si/sub 3/Ru/sub 2/ were found. Ruthenium and germanium do not form solid solutions. Also neither of the intermediate phases had a demonstrable range of homogeneity. (auth)
