SLOW NEUTRON SCATTERING BY THE SPIN SYSTEM OF A PARAMAGNETIC MATERIAL

In a previous discussion of the inelastic scattering of slow neutrons by phonons in a paramagnetic crystal resulting from magnetic interaction of the spin system was discussed. The valne found for the cross section was 10/sup -26/ to 10/sup -27/ cm/sup 2/. The scattering mechanism is considered. (W.D.M.)
