THE MOSSBAUER EFFECT FOR AN IMPURITY NUCLEUS IN A CRYSTAL. PART II (in Russian)

Resonance gamma ray absorption by an arbitrary impurity nucleus in a crystal accompanied with a change of lattice states were considered. The connection of the onequantum excitation probability with the vibrational spectrum of a crystal was analyzed and the absorption line intensity corresponding to the excitation of a given localized level was determined. The temperature-dependence of the Mossbauer effect and the one-quantum excitation probability is studied in detail taking into account, in particular, the role of the degeneracy. The results of calculations are given for the case of a simple unit cell lattice and nearest neighbor interactions. Obtained results are compared with available experimental data. (auth)
