NEUTRON POLARIZATION IN THE C$sup 12$(d,n)N$sup 13$ REACTION (in Russian)

The polarization of neutrons from the reaction C/sup 12/(d,n)N/sup 13/ corresponding to formation of the N/sup 13/ nucleus in the ground state is measured for E/sub d/ = 6.5 Mev and a reaction angle THETA /sub 1lab/ = 40 deg . The azimuthal asymmetry was measured in helium with a high pressure scintillation gas counter. The polarization is found to be P(40 deg ) = (-25.0 plus or minus 3.0)%. (auth)
