ON-LINE DATA REDUCTION BY ANALOG COMPUTERS

The use of analog computers in reduction of data at test sites and experimental facilities for the immediate use of engineers is discussed. An example of use in the Transient Reactivity Meter is described. The meter computes the reactivity of the reactor in an operating power plant. The theory of operation and uses are discussed.
