CORROSION OF REFRACTORY METALS BY LIQUID TIN

Journal Article · · Am. Soc. Metals, Trans. Quart.
OSTI ID:4740348
The corrosive effects of liquid tin on Mo, Ta, Nb, and W were studied. The results showed that all of the refractory metals tested were attacked by liquid tin at 800 nif- C. Mo and Ta were also attacked at 630 nif- C, but Nb showed no visible corrosion at this temperature. W was not tested at the lower temperature. (P.C.H.)
