>The sensitivity to x rays was measured in Bombyx mori eggs by the variation of the development time as a function of the dose administered. The development time means the interval between the start of incubation and hatching. The eggs were irradiated with doses of 0, 500, 1000, 2000, and 3000 r. The results show an increase in development time with the dose and the absence of all differences for the mortality rate. If the irradiatlon takes place 5 days after the start of incubation, no increase in the development is found at 2000 r, but the mortality rate is significantly higher. (J.S.R.)
