Activities at the Institute during the year April 1961 to March 1962 are reported. It is noted that good progress was made especially in construction of facilities such as JRR-3, JPDR, and a light water critical assembly. Special research on body phenomena after a single injection of Sr/sup 85/ is reported along with work on diffusion of radioactive gas released from a stack. Work is reported in sections on radiation control, meteorological and oceanographical survey and observation, and research and development. (J.R.D.)
