GENERAL CORRELATIONS FOR THE RISE VELOCITY OF CYLINDRICAL BUBBLES IN VERTICAL TUBES
Technical Report
·
OSTI ID:4737710
>The rise velocity of cylindrical bubbles in vertical tubes is expressed as a function of the tube diameter, liquid density, viscosity and surface tension, and gravitational acceleration. The resulting correlations are valid for any values of these variables as long as the fluid is Newtonian and the gas density and viscosity are negligible in comparison with the corresponding liquid properties.
