ABOUT FILM BOILING HEAT TRANSFER FROM A HORIZONTAL SURFACE

Journal Article · · Rev. Phys., Acad. Rep. Populaire Roumaine
OSTI ID:4736605
A non-stationary model of film boiling is used in which Taylor-Helmholtz instability and heat flux are considered as causes of bubble formation. Equations are derived for the heat flux and the minimum heat flux as a limiting case of film boiling. (D.L.C.)
