ALKALINE EARTHS IN HEPARIN

Five different preparations of heparin were found to contain varying amounts of Ca, Sr, and Ba. The importance of analyzing each preparation of heparin used as an anticoagulant for the estimation of alkaline earths in plasma is discussed. (C.H.)
