A process is given for the curing of natural rubber and butadiene/ styrene rubber. The process comprises incorporating in the rubber 2.5 to 7% of an organic peroxide and exposing the composition of 3 x 10/sup 6/ to 5 x 10/sup 7/ rads of highenergy ionizing radiation.
