CORE-MODERATED CIRCULATING FUEL REACTOR STUDY

The initial results of a study to determine the feasibility and characteristics of a core-moderated circulating fuel reactor as an aircraft power plant are presented. A preliminary design is described. The reactor consists of thre main components: the cylindrical core, the reflector, and the wrap-around heat exchanger. (M.C.G.)
