FURTHER STUDIES ON THE $mu$$sup +$ $Yields$ e$sup +$ + e$sup +$ + e$sup -$ DECAY (in Russian)
In a previous work on this subject (Zhur. Eksper. i Teoret. Fiz. 42, 1885 (1962)) a spark chamber with a fast electronic system was used for studying the mu /sup +/ yields e/sup +/ + e/sup +/ + e/sup -/ decay reaction. The experimental arrangement was improved because in the first study not a single case of the mu yields 3e decay could be established. The statistics of the system was doubied, corresponding to 1.38 x 10/sup 9/ incidences of mu -mesons on the target. The ability of the system for recording these events was further improved by means of additional calibrations and by making use of new computational techniques. In order to be recorded as a mu LAMBDA 3e decay, the event has to satisfy all the previously established criteria. During the 150 hours of the experiment, not a single such event was recorded. (TTT)
