STUDY ON CODES FOR REACTOR SHIELDING COMPUTATION (in Japanese)

Detailed descriptions of Japan Shielding Codes Group (SCG) digital- computer reactor shielding analysis programs are presented. These programs may be categorized as follows: gamma attenuation, neutron attenuation, capture gamma ray attenuation, and heating by gamma radiation analysis. The programs are summarized and the type of computer indicated. Each description includes the purpose of the program, the various physical or theoretical assumptions, the used numerical formula of calculation, and the manual of major computer programs. Generally, a total of 10 shielding materials, 20 regions in each material, and source geometry of three kinds, (plane, sphere, and cylinder) can be handled by the programs. SCG Codes were programed for computation on the IBM-650 and NEAC2203 or FACOM-128 B digital computers. (auth)
