ISOMERIC STATES OF $sup 92$Nb

The existence of isomeric states of Nb/sup 92/ with half lives of 21.6 hr, 13 hr. 5.9 mu sec, and 191 min has been reported in the literature. Evidence is presented that indicates that all but the 5.9- mu sec isomer are in error. The following total activation cross sections for 14.7-Mev neutrons were measured: Mo/sup 92/ (n,p)Nb/sup 92/ (10.1 days + 5.9 mu sec), 60 ction in DDT- C/ 15 mbarns; and Mo/sup 92/(n, alpha )Zr/sup 89/ (79.0 hr + 4.4 min), 20 ction in DDT-C/ 8 mbarns.
