The sorption of iodine from air is reviewed, and the thermodynamic and mass transfer aspects of iodine sorption on copper are discussed. Dynamic sorption experiments on copper mesh and silver-plated copper mesh for measuring the mass transfer of iodine from air to solid are reported. (D.L.C.)
