Extraction of ion beams from a synchrocyclotron by an electric pulse deflector, multiple scattering on a target, a regenerative deflector, and by a no- magnetic channel method (where electric deflector extracts the beam after it passed a n = 1 area) was surveyed. An analysis was made of the methods used with various accelerators and the results are tabulated. 95 references are included. (R.V.J.)
