A device for closing a duct of a nuclear reactor is provided. The device is composed of two axially-aligned drums mounted for staggered rotation with respect to each other, each formed with axially directed ducts that are out of coincidence in normal position. In this way radiological protection by the full thickness of one drum is ensured in front of each duct. (C.E.S.)
