STABILITY OF /cap beta/ SOLID SOLUTIONS OF ZIRCONIUM-MOLYBDENUM-IRON AND ZIRCONIUM-RHENIUM-IRON ALLOYS (in Russian)

Journal Article · · Zh. neorgan. Khim.
OSTI ID:4727092

Isothermal cross sections of tempered Fe -Mo-Zr and Fe -Re- Zr alloys at 900 and 1000 un. Concent 85% showed that alloys with 7.5 wt% Mo and 1 wt% Fe stabilized with a BETA phase while with less Mo it stabilized into BETA + phase even at 1300 un. Concent 85% C. Zirconium alloys with Re and Fe did not stabilize into BETA phase indicating that combined Fe and Re cannot stabilize BETA -zirconium. (R.V.J.)
