A 2-METRE PROPANE BUBBLE CHAMBER

A propane bubble chamber with a sensitive volume of 210 x 65 x 40 cm/sup 3/ under construction at Dubna is described. It will operate in a constant magnetic fleld of 14 to 15 kG. The upper magnetic pole piece forms a part of the chamber construction. The expansion of the working liquid is directed downward. Illumination is provided through 26 holes with a separate lighting system for each hole. There are two photographic systems consisting of three cameras each. A special remote control table contains controls for each part of the system. (A.G.W.)
