ELECTRICAL AND THERMAL RESISTIVITY OF PURE NICKEL AND OF AN IRON-NICKEL ALLOY IN MAGNETIC FIELDS AT LOW TEMPERATURES (in French)

Journal Article · · Helvetica Physica Acta (Switzerland)
OSTI ID:4720950

The electrical and thermal conductivities of two samples of nickel and of one sample of 15% Fe-85% Ni alloy were measured in a magnetic field at 4.2 un. Concent 85% K and at 80.5 un. Concent 85% K. Transverse fields up to 2.2 Vs/m/ sup 2/ (22 KG), and longitudinal fields up 0.18 Vs/m/sup 2/ (1.8 kG) were applied. The Wiedemann-Franz law was found to be valid in most cases in the presence of the field at 4.2 un. Concent 85% K. (auth)
