It is noted that the EVESR (ESADA Vallecitos Experimental Superheat Reactor) plant design and the design of the first core loading was in progress prior to the start of the reporting period. A description of the EVESR facility is included along with progress on the current (AEC sponsored) program. Significant progress reported includes preparation of task reference sheets for the entire program, virtual completion of Mark Il EVESR core design, process development for Mark II fabrication, and completion of EVESR instrumentation and radiochemistry scoping. Work was initiated on a computer program for use with program data. (J.R.D.)
