FAST DEUTERONS AND OTHER VERY LIGHT NUCLEI FROM HIGH ENERGY PROTON BOMBARDMENT OF MATTER
Several processes for the emission of fast light nuclei from high energy proton bombardment of matter are discussed. A mechanism is derived that qualitatively explains some increase of the deuteron to proton ratio with the nuclear radius. (C.E.S.)
