A GUIDE TO THE LITERATURE ON HIGH-VELOCITY METALWORKING

A guide to the literature on high-velocity metalworking is presented. Abstracts of articles, reports, books, and current research projects on and related to high-velocity metalworkirg are arranged according to technical subject. The reported work in the field up to about October of 1962 is covered. Abstracts of over 700 references were arranged by subject matter, with cross indexing between subjects. There is also an author index. The eleven major subjects and categories covered in the report are: energy sources, energy transfer mediums, facility requirements, tooling requirements, equipment requirements, forming, hardening, explosive welding, power compaction, metal removal, and material behavior. The references are in some cases further categorized by materials under the specific processes. (auth)
