We present some new exact (solitary and traveling) solutions to the sine-Gordon equations c{sup 2}u{sub xx} - u{sub tt} = {alpha} sin u and cu{sub xt} + u{sub tt} = {alpha} sin u, and the dissipative sine-Gordon equation c{sup 2}U{sub xx} = u{sub tt} - {gamma}u, = {alpha}{sub 1} sin u + {alpha}{sub 2} sin(2u). Here, {alpha}, {alpha}{sub 1}, and {alpha}{sub 2} are the coupling constants, real numbers; c is the intrinsic speed of the propagating wave determined by the system; and {gamma} is the damping factor. The physical implication is briefly discussed.
