To obtain precise experimental values of the Dirac form factor F/sub 1/ and the Pauli form factor F/sub 2/ at various momentum transfers q, the effective cross sections for electron scattering by protons for q/sup 2/ = 0.30, 0.49, 1.00, and 2.00 fermi/sup -2/ were measured. For the first two values a forward scattering angle of 60 un. Concent 85% was used, and F/sub 1/ was derived. Forward and backward angles were used for the last two values, and F/sub 1/ and F/ sub 2/ were derived separately. (auth)
