OPERATION OF THE BERKELEY 88-INCH CYCLOTRON

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4717664
The operation of the Berkeley 88-inch spiral ridge cyclotron in the past year is reviewed. Internal beam qualities and intensities, and the stability, reproducibility, and lifetime of various machine components are discussed. Examples of the use of phase diagrams obtained from I vs R curves to tune the magnetic field shape are presented. (auth)
