Title: ADAPTIVE CONTROL FOR NUCLEAR REACTOR START-UP AND REGULATION

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:4717508

Optimization methods were used to synthesize a reactor control system that is input adaptive. The final optimized control system requiring amplifiers with time-varying gains, has several advantages over conventional feedback systems. The optimization procedure defines in precise mathematical terms the purpose of the control system and the usual power overshoot is eliminated. (auth)
