An electronic control circuit is designed which includes as a ridiation sensor a non-self-quenching Geiger-Mueller tube. The circuit also includes two discharge tubes connected to form a monostable multivibrator network, and the Geiger tube is connected between the discharge tubes in such a way that it has an operating voltage in the stable condition of the network and is quenched by the unstable multivibrator condition. The Geiger tube itself triggers the network from its stable to unstable condition when it conducts in response to radiation. (D.L.C.)
