LABORATORY STUDIES ON THE CHLORINATION WORK ON NEUTRON-IRRADIATED URANIUM NUCLEAR FUELS. PART 3. PLUTONIUM SEPARATION BY GAS CHROMATOGRAPHY OF THE CHLORIDE VAPOR ON CHARCOAL (in German)

OSTI ID:4715243

By means of gas chromatography of the anhydrous chloride vapors of uranium, plutonium, and fission products on charcoal at 700 un. Concent 85% C, an unobjectionable uranium -plutonium separation as well as a separation of plutonium from the principal part of the fission products were achieved. The behavior of plutonium chloride and the most important fission-product chlorides in carbon dioxide was investigated. (tr-auth)
