ANALYTICAL METHOD FOR THE GRAVIMETRIC DETERMINATION OF URANIUM IN PURE AMMONIUM DIURANATE

A portion of the sample is dissolved in nitric acid and an aliquot of the solution is taken. The uranium is precipitated as ammonium diuranate which is ignited and weighed. The method as written is suitable for all pure samples of ammonium diuranate. At the 48% level, the standard deviation is 0.16%. (auth)
