Equilibrium dialysis and pressure filtration were employed in in vitro tracer studies of the binding of rare earth and rare earth chelates to blood serum proteins and nucleic acids. Data are preserted on the binding of Y/sup 91/ to human serum alpha globulin and calf thymus desoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) and the binding of La/sup 140/ and La/sup 140/ chelate to albumin, alpha globulin, and DNA.
