A continuously indicating Pu alpha air monitor using a P--N junction Si detector and single-channel pulse-height analyzer is described. The resolution of the system excludes 98% of the radon daughter aipha activity. One MPC of Pu/ sup 238/ can easily be seen within 8 hours of sampling. (auth)
