FLOCK, A PROGRAM TO OBTAIN FITTED SELF-SHIELDING COEFFICIENTS FOR KARE R-Z SYNTHESIS INPUT
FLOCK obtains self-shielding and rod absorption factors from previously run KARE, FLEER, or x-y problems, which are representative of elevation, temperature, and rod conditions. Major, minor, and sub-channels are specified. These factors are fitted as a function of the fuel (or poison) fraction remaining by the ieast squares polynomial approximation method. Coefficients are obtained for unrodded and rodded self-shielding factors for structures, fission products, xenon, K, gamma , and rod absorption. Data needed in the calculation is taken from one or more specified problems existing on one or more KARE history tapes. Coefficients for steady state, peak, and maneuvering xenon are set equal to unity. Output is Hollerith punched cards in a form usable as direct input to KARE r-z synthesis problems. (auth)
