STUDY OF THE SZILARD-CHALMERS EFFECT ON Cu-PHTHALOCYANINE AND Na- PHTHALOCYANINE (in German)

The Szilard-Chalmers effect was studied on Naphthalocyanine and on Cu- phthalocyanine preirradiated with gamma rays. With Na-phthalocyanine the yield of the Szilard-Chalmers reaction was investigated for different extraction methods, and the annealing by heat before and after the neutron irradiation. The annealing curves found showed an increase of yield, caused by molecule destruction. Cu-phthalocyanine was preirradiated with gamma rays in air and in vacuo. This preirradiation gave different annealing effects for air and vacuum. After irradiation in air the retention curve rose rapidly up to a constant value, whereas in vacuo the retention rose linearly with the dose received. Annealing by preheating was studied, too. Retention increased with temperature and time of heating. The curve rose rapidly up to a constant value. The annealing by heat was investigated also on K/sub 2/CrO/sub 4/, but no increase of retention is found. (auth)
