Measurement of the radiation field (particularly fast neutron flux) around the 6.3 Bev Bevatron at Berkeley, evaluation of health hazards presented, and design of shielding to reduce radiation are discussed. The instrumentation is described as well as its use with pulsed accelerators, and results with the Berkeley accelerator are presented. (D.C.W.)
