The CO{sub 2} Technology Data Bank (CO{sub 2}DB) has been developed at the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA) in Laxenburg, Austria, in the framework of the Environmentally Compatible Energy Strategies Project. It is a database for mitigation technology inventories and can serve as a tool in the research on options to reduce energy-related emissions of CO{sub 2} and other greenhouse gases. The database is very useful for the purpose of comparative assessment of different strategies for the mitigation of energy-related climate impact. For this reason, the CO{sub 2}DB is one of the basic computerized tools applied in the Bulgarian Case Study (BCS) that is carried out in the DECADES Inter-Agency Project framework.
