THE LATENT IMAGE FADING OF $gamma$-RAY FILM BADGE IN RELATION TO THE MEASUREMENT OF DOSE FOR THE PERIOD OF THREE MONTHS (in Japanese)

Journal Article · · Proc. Japan Conf. Radioisotopes
OSTI ID:4710360
In the case of measurement of radiation exposure for three months by means of photographic film badge, it should be noticed that the latent image regression of the photographic film is greater, and may cause more influence on the calculation of dose, than in the measurement of weekly exposure. An experiment on the degree of latent image fading over a period of three months has been carried out for three types of films, viz. gamma -ray badge film and two films of less sensitivity, under various humidities at room temperature. The effects of the activity of developer and photon energy on the extent of latent image regression of exposed films is studied. (T.F.H.)
