The theory of neutron spectra uses the Boltzmann integro-differential equation. In the case of plane geometry one usually develops the solution into Legendre functions. The integral equation of the transport problem is found, collision kernel for elastic collision is examined, and then a general method for getting the solution of this equation is presented. (auth)
