Preliminary tests indicate that the University of Michigan 83-inch spiral-ridge cyclotron will operate satisfactorily as designed and that no difficulty will be met in obtaining low energy proton and deuteron beams out to extraction radius. The tests and resultant corrections on the cyclotron are described, and field measurements on the focusing magnets are reported. (D.C.W.)
