A covariant form of expansion of an arbitrary electromagnetic vertex in relativistic multipoles is presented. rrreducible small group tensors L/sub u/ (u is the 4-velocity of the center of inertia) are employed. For setting up these tensors from the wave amplitudes of the particles participating in the decay process, a transformation is applied that is connected with parallel transfer of vectors and spinors in Lobachevsky space. The same technique is employed for investigating the structure of the BETA decay Hamiltonian in the theory of universal weak interaction. The number of various types of form factors for BETA decay of particles with an arbitrary spin is computed and a relativistically invariant classification of BETA transitions in terms of degrees of forbiddenness is presented.
