ON THE DECAY OF $sup 72$Zn

Journal Article · · Journal of Inorganic and Nuclear Chemistry (England) Merged with Inorg. Nucl. Chem. Lett. to form Polyhedron
Information on the BETA and gamma rays present in the decay of Zn/ sup 72/ was presented. The gamma spectrum was recorded and peaks at 147 plus or minus 2 and 194 plus or minus 2 kev were observed. The intensity of the 194-kev peak was 10 plus or minus 0.5% of the 147-kev peak. No coincidences between these gamma rays were found. A Curie plot of the BETA spectrum showed a BETA ray of 0.26 plus or minus 0.02 Mev maximum energy. No clear conclusions on the transitional probabilities could be drawn from the experiment. (C.E.S.)
